The RottenTooth mascot in a lab coat and brass goggles, holding up a corked specimen jar of swirling lime-green gas, at a 1950s lab bench with bubbling flasks, a gramophone listening machine and a tiled chart on the wall.

Fart Back

Record a fart. Send a cartoon.

This is the measuring bench. Your phone listens, measures it, names it and stamps an official lab report. Then it plays over a cartoon you send to a friend, and they fart back.

The periodic table of farts

Fart Back listens for three things: how long it lasts, whether the tone is bright or low, and whether it’s dry or wet. That puts it in one of these groups, and it gets one of 93 names. The same fart always gets the same name.

Tap a tile to see another name in its group.
